The goal of Lean Six Sigma consulting is not to impose a cookie-cutter solution to each project, but rather enable businesses to customize strategies based upon Lean Six Sigma principles in order to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, adaptability and performance.
The root of both Lean and Six Sigma reach back to the time when the greatest pressure for quality and speed were on manufacturing. Lean rose as a method for optimizing automotive manufacturing; Six Sigma evolved as a quality initiative to eliminate defects by reducing variation in processes in the semiconductor industry. It is not surprising that the earliest adopters of Lean Six Sigma arose in the service support functions of manufacturing organizations like GE Capital, Caterpillar Finance, and Lockheed Martin.

We act as coaches – your team implements the program. To facilitate this, we would recommend a steering group, consisting of senior members of the organization. The program will require one or more internal coordinators. We consider your communication strategy, measurement approach & training requirements.
Our training approach is very interactive, involving your staff through action-based activities.Your staff will help identify the key processes to be optimized. The steering group will prioritize and resource selected improvement areas. Change management is often a key element in the implementation approach.
We will help identify ‘quick wins’ and pilot projects to give the program some momentum, but critically identify the necessary longer term projects required to deliver customer value and deliver bottom line results.
